Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 Will Come With 5G Support And 10GB RAM

With every new phone launching in the market, boasting amazing and innovative features, it has made every manufacturer up their game in the best way possible.

The latest to offer us that something incredible is the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3. There have been several teases by company officials that the new release will be introducing a 5G supporting smartphone. Several images released with “5G” on it pretty much confirms that theory.

While being able to connect to a 5G cellular network is great and all, we also have major indications that the Mi Mix 3 will have 10 GB of RAM. It will be one of the first ones to have both 5G connectivity and 10 GB RAM at the same time in a phone.

Official confirmations came from Xiaomi Spain and a Weibo post.

The 5G network feature is the most looked forward to as it is just starting to circulate in the tech world. The only other company working on a 5G cellular connectivity at the moment is Huawei whose CEO confirmed the plans for a 5G phone slated for a 2019 release. As for the 10 GB of RAM, not many enthusiasts seem to be celebrating it and to be honest it does seem quite unnecessary.

However the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 will have to sort out any complications regarding the 5G network since 5G supporting chipsets aren’t abundant in the market as of yet. They will most certainly need to adopt an external modem most likely one of Qualcomm’s X24 or X50 working in tandem with the Snapdragon 845.

Everything else that we know about the Xiaomi Mi Mix 3 is just speculation at this point but evidence suggests that the new phone will boast a 6.4-inch AMOLED display, a 100% screen-to-body front with a sliding rear. Not much is confirmed about the specs of the upcoming phone, but an AI button activating Xiao AI is a big possibility.

A major lure for this smartphone remains the 5G technology support. Xiaomi introducing 5G signaling and data link connection is a welcoming progress .The Qualcomm Snapdragon X50 5G modem is being used by the connection and is RF solution compatible. The object is to enhance the efficiency of the smartphone motherboard stacking and RF/antenna design. All in all, a highly anticipated feature for sure.

The Xiaomi Mi MIX 3 will sport 16MP+13MP dual rear cameras with 20MP selfie shooter with 3D facial recognition and some basic AI features. The smartphone has received 3C certification and will be including four models, M1810E5A, M1810E5E, M1810E5EC, and M1810E5T. The phone could also come in four different colors. The RAM storage will comprise of 6GB and the internal storage capacity will not be any less than 64GB.

As far as pricing is concerned, the 64GB version could probably retail at around $500 while the 256GB variant could sell for $760.

Xiaomi has planned an October 25th launch date for the Mi Mix 3 in China.
