Earlier this month, Vivo officially launched the Vivo V11 Pro as its highly innovative first V-series smartphone with an in-display fingerprint scanner.
The widely speculated new Vivo V11 is now official. Vivo announced the new smartphone will arrive in India and Thailand with plans to hit other markets soon.
The Vivo V11 specifications were spotted on the official Vivo India online store before even being formally announced. The V11 follows its predecessor, the V9 which was released earlier this year. It is a culmination of features from both Vivo X21 and their sister’s company phone Oppo F9.
Vivo V11 smartphone specs:
The online unveiling of the phone confirms that the Vivo V11 has an in-display fingerprint scanner, the company’s trademark. It’s similar to the one on the Vivo Nex. It’s slightly slower than a traditional fingerprint scanner, but still more convenient to use than a scanner on the rear of the phone.
It has an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and comes with what is being named as Halo FullView Display by the company, a 6.41-inch Super AMOLED screen. Since the in-display fingerprint technology only works with AMOLED screens, it definitely represents an upgrade for the V series.
It consists of a 91.27% screen-to-body ratio, which is not unlike the Oppo Find X, which has a ratio of 93.8%. There’s a small notch at the top of the screen, now commonly referred to as a waterdrop notch. The body includes curved glass on its rear, and it comes in the colors called either Starry Night or Nebula Fusion, each of which reflects a bold shiny effect on the back of the phone. The Starry Night fades from dark to light blue with a glitter effect.
The dual-sensor camera on the back of the Vivo V11 combines a 12MP lens with a 5MP one. It comes with features like time-lapse photography, Live Photo, bokeh, AI face beauty, camera filter, AI backlight HDR,AI scene recognition, AR stickers and more.
The front of the phone has an even more powerful 25MP camera. It’s equipped with features like camera filter, portrait, Live Photo AI face beauty AI backlight HDR, AR stickers, AI selfie lighting and AI face shaping.
Powering the smartphone is Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 AIE chipset paired with 6GB of RAM. It has an additional 128GB of internal storage and 3,315 mAh battery with fast charging features. There’s has been no mention so far on whether there’s microSD support available for the phone.
Pricing and release dates:
The online store pricing details for the Vivo V11 revealed that the new phone carries a price tag of Rs. 23,990 though it will vary by region. Release dates are as yet unconfirmed, but we can expect to hear those very soon for India. We will be updating when we hear about the further details Vivo is set to bring the phone.
