Leaks and rumors are apparently a norm in the tech world now. From specs and features constantly popping up from various sources about the Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro, this one proved to be no exception. The latest leak for the black Huawei Mate 20 Pro is an image this time around.
The image put to rest, all the speculations regarding the Huawei Mate 20 Pro. Thus confirming that the rumors were not just rumors. The design of the device can be seen clearly in the image.
The device shows a smoothly curved 6.9-inch display. You can also see a wide iPhone X-inspired notch and it’s being speculated that the handset will have an advanced 3D facial recognition mechanism. The phone will also have an earpiece.
The Mate 20 Pro rear shows a large square-shaped camera arrangement along with three imaging sensors and an LED flash. Leica branding can be seen at the very top confirming Huawei’s continued collaboration with the German camera maker. Huawei’s upcoming phone also shows minimal bezels on the sides and around the notch.
The Mate 20 Pro is all set to give a tough time to Apple, Samsung, and Google with its photography prowess.
In the image, we can only see a dark color body that looks super sleek and stylish with a reflective glass back cover. The device will however also be available in Blue, Twilight, and possibly Green colors.
Also, the fingerprint sensor seems to be missing from the phone’s back, almost confirming the fact that the phone would definitely be coming with an in-display fingerprint scanner.

Huawei assured 46% faster and 178% more power-efficient GPU and delivered well on that promise. The overall performance peaks up to 37%. The new Mate 20 phones will also have CAT 21 LTE modem that can go as high as 1,732 Mbps. Additionally, the Mate 20 phones will likely have the same 40 MP + 20 MP B/W + 8 MP tele setup. They are also introducing a brand new 6.3-inch curved edge, OLED display with a 3120 x 1440 resolution.
With regards to the internal side of things, Huawei will be including their new Kirin 980 along with a minimum of 6GB of RAM. This is also expected to be enhanced with 128GB of non-expandable storage. It has been rumored about the battery life that a 4,200mAh pack should make its entrance alongside support for both wired and wireless fast charging. Finishing off the setup will be Android 9 Pie straight out of the box.
The way things are shaping up, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro could be a major competitor to other releases. With the Kirin 980 processor, it will be the first 7-nanometer chipset in an Android phone. This could potentially make it the most power-efficient Android phone available. The Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro are also rumored to have triple rear cameras and wireless charging
Huawei will release the Mate 20 Pro along with regular Mate 20 on October 16 in London.
