Samsung added yet another new Galaxy A phone to its arsenal, and it is by far their most unique one to date. The Galaxy A9 (2018) is the world’s first smartphone to come with a quad-camera system. The rear side of the latest Galaxy A phone has four cameras stacked vertically which Samsung says will help users capture the world as they see it.
The new Galaxy A9 reiterates Samsung’s goal of providing unique and challenging mid-range smartphones to give a tough time to the competition. Not only does the Galaxy A9 boasts four cameras on the rear, but it also reveals an attractive gradient design with a tall Infinity Display among other features.
As far as quad-cameras are concerned, Lenovo also has plans to jump on the bandwagon as it too has posted a teaser with a quad camera setup. The recent teaser by the company’s Vice President Chang Cheng has confirmed that Samsung will not be alone this year to launch a phone with a quartet of cameras in the back.
The teaser shows the camera set up to have a resemblance with the camera setup of the upcoming Mate 20 series albeit without a flash and with an additional sensor.
The teaser also hints that the mysterious phone might be releasing in October, although the exact release date has not been confirmed yet. Details available at the moment are scarce, but we do know for sure that the phone will have a quad camera set up on the rear.
Here’s what we know about the Samsung Galaxy A9 so far.
