Foldable phones have been quite the highlight this year. It would seem that everyone is on the way to the future. Who could have guessed that we would have made it to a foldable phone in 2019? If you had asked me this last year I would have told you that was a 2030 dream. However, this industry has a way of surprising you when you least expect it. Samsung have already proved themselves by promising the Samsung Galaxy fold. We’ve all seen the patents about it. It was showcased at the CES 2019 just in case you need a proper trail. That was the first time we spotted the prototype. Now there are reports indicating the foldable iPhone 11 might come to life.
Corning is a company that makes the glass that iPhone uses presently. The glass that if broken costs $200 to replace. I find this quite outrageous. I’d rather just buy a low-end Oppo make than mend the screen. At least I’ll have a new phone to make up for the cracked screen I’ve been staring at. Apparently, the company is working on a foldable screen that could be used to come up with the foldable iPhone 11. In the recent past we published a post about this same story. You can read about it here.
What other features will the foldable iPhone 11 have?
The glass will be 0.1 mm thick and will be able to bend to a radius of 5 mm. Although I am yet to understand why we need a foldable iPhone 11, I appreciate the improvement. Maybe the foldable design is meant to help it fit in my pocket properly. I would like to imagine that the phone will have a RAM of around 12GB. We’ve seen Samsung achieve this and will obviously expect nothing less from Apple. Being the tech giant we have grown accustomed to over the years. They may not be implementing the 5G technology that the market is presently waiting for. Third party apps developers also can’t wait to have improved response time as a result of the new network. Nonetheless, we know these news are susceptible to change and that anything is possible. We will keep you posted.
